

One of the classics – aromatic and delicious cabbage with peas

Ingredients:
- Whole peas from Stefik (250 g)
- sauerkraut (0.5 kg)
- Bay leaf, allspice
- onion
- salt and pepper to taste
Recipe:
- Wash all the peas, soak them in water and leave for the night. On the second day, cook them until soft in water from soaking.
- Cook until the peas start to crumble. Strain and set aside
- Squeeze the juice out of Sauerkraut (do not pour out the juice) and put it into the pan along with the bay leaf and allspice.
- Fill that with water and cook until cabbage becomes soft.
- Cut the onion into small cubes and fry using little amount of oil until glazed.
- Add the peas and onions to the cabbage, then season with salt and freshly grounded pepper.
- You can add a pinch of sugar to taste.
- Cook until the desired consistency.
- If we want the cabbage to be more acidic, we can add a little cabbage juice.
