

Classic coarse barley groats in mushroom sauce

Ingredients:
- A glass of Stefik coarse barley groats
- A glass of dried mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- Condiments as desired
Recipe:
Add coarse barley groats into boiling salted water. Put washed mushrooms to water, add quartered onion. Cook on low heat until the mushrooms are tender. Then drain.
Make a roux from butter and flour and stir it with mushroom stock. Mix vigorously until uniform lump-free texture. Bring to a boil and then add mushrooms.
Put groats on a plate and make a hole in the middle. Pour the sauce into the hole. Serve with Coleslaw salad or gherkins.
